A member of his high school wrestling team, Andrew Horun also coaches younger athletes and volunteers in his community. He is as an active member of Phillipsburg, New Jersey's Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, where he has participated as an altar server and as an assistant with the church's fundraising event at the Phillipsburg Ole Town Festival. In his time not already dedicated to wrestling, Andrew Horun has also volunteered with the Greek Catholic Union community cleanup efforts and has supported the Knights of Columbus in many of its fundraising events, including those benefiting the Arc of Warren County.
Andrew Horun also dedicates much of his time to athletic training. A trainee of Craig Merrick at MADE Strength and Conditioning, he attends sessions of up to two hours as many as four times each week. He also enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music, and sampling food from around the world. In longer periods of free time, he enjoys joining his family on trips to such popular destinations as Disney World and the Hoover Dam. He has also hiked in Bruce Canyon and Zion National Park, where his family stayed on a houseboat and spent time outdoors at night looking at the stars.
